DC ++ settings. - December 13th, 2002, 04:56 PM

Hey everybody, I downloaded this program last night and noticed that everytime you re-open, it opens as if it were the first time, what I am trying to say is that you have to configure the whole thing over and over, like your user name, what connection you use, where you want your downloaded files to go, what folder you want to share, etc,
Is this normal? or maybe I did something wrong, when I downloaded it I put it on my winzip and then I just exported it to my desktop, I do have the icon, but as i said everytime I open it I have to do the whole initiation process,
If this is happening to somebody else, let me know, but if I am the only one can somebody help me to make it work like most of the other sharing programs, thanks.

Nope, it isn't normal. Its supposed to store that info in an XML file called "DCPlusPlus.xml". Open this file and see if your settings are stored like you entered them.

Thanks for all comments, but I fixed it. What happened was that I extract the files to my desktop and just left a shortcut copy on, then everytime I hit it it would do what I mentioned on my thread. But I fixed it instead I export this app. to my program files and from there made a copy and paste on my desktop, now I don't have that problem.
