Advise on what makes a good hub (IMO) - May 28th, 2002, 12:59 PM

ok I know I've posted a lot today but I just found something in the archives of the dslreports forum where someone asked about finding good hubs and the reply summed it up the best I think on what constitutes a good hub for most people who are on dc to share files and not just leech and figured it might be helpful.

Question: Am looking for a couple good Direct Connect hubs with lots of users cause I can't seem to find any.

Any suggestions?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

Answer: I would recommend the 50gb Tomax and Nikkan hub....that suckers got over 100TB on good days so youre bound to get what you're looking no matter how obscure it is at decent speeds(>50 kbs). Its even got all the eminem songs from that super duper copy encrypted cd...not that im interested in getting them.

A distant second are the EVIL hubs MacGuyver or VTdivx which require about 10gb to get in. They usually have around 15TB and good assortment of search results cuz of the Multi-hub search.

" Its not the number of users that matter but getting into a hub that has obscene share requirements that prevent people from sharing just crap and lamo leachers or heavily OP policed hub that makes sure people are sharing media and not their c: drives. "

The last part that I put quotes around is what you're trying to find
