Need help with outdated programming languages - August 6th, 2007, 11:07 AM

This should be relatively quick for anyone who programs.

I am too lazy/busy to search for all possible languages and am not interested in going into my 100 degree garage to write down all the books I have that may or not be of use.

Put simply, I have a small bookcase of dozens of programming books, most of which have to be anywhere from 5-10 years old. I have not touched them for 3 years and doubt I will if they are outdated/obsolete. What I need is a list of either officially outdated languages or a list of current ones that will not be outdated any time soon.

The books are going to charity. I know that seems silly (outdated books) but I feel better doing that vs. tossing them in the garbage or burning them. Thanks in advance for your help.
