I love my Senn's and I love my Shure's. The Senn's are closed ear, the Shure's are earbud-style.

I bought the $300 Shure in-ear headphones at Fry's. With my employee discount at the time they were around $180. (those puppies are high margin.) But, they just wouldn't fit my ears right and I had to return them. Who knows, maybe I wore them wrong.

Right now, for my ipod I just use the regular ear buds that came with it. They work fine for the short amounts of time I listen to it anyway.

For my computer, which is where I reside for the longest period of time, I use the Turtle Beach 5.1 surround sound on-the-ear headphones. They're awesome, especially with the creative x-fi card.

My current setup stats (like anyone cares...):

ASUS A8N32-SLI Motherboard
AMD 4400+ Dual-Core CPU
Windows Vista (Ultimate 32bit)
2 GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS RAM
2x250 GB (in RAID 0) HDDs
EVGA GeForce 7950 GTX 512 MB
Creative X-FI Fatal1ty XtremeGamer

Also sporting a black MacBook
Revision/Release 1
Upgraded to 2GB RAM.

Currently I am using the Shure E3c's they are amazing. Well built, great sound and the isolating effect is perfect for the public transit system. If you are looking for canalphones and don't like the Shures there are a few other companies that make canalphones. There is the ultimate ears which I keep hearing about and seem to be highly regarded and also Etymotic which I think was one of the pioneers in developing a canalphone for the general public.

I bought some $200 Sennheiser noise cancelling headphones that sit on the ears rather than engulfing them. I couldn't fly without them. Even without listening to music, they make flying so much more peaceful! To listen to music on a plane without them you have to deafen yourself.

For those that are interested, I just checked the model - PXC300.

I have a cheap little cyber acoustics headset.

The phones have a decent, while not excellent, sound and range. Far better than the tinny sound my old headset had.

Went headset for gaming with Teamspeak.

The best Headphone setup for the money that I have found is the Logitech A-0374A which has a boom mike and connects via USB port. I found those from $13 - $20.
