Finishing Touches for Dvd and Dvd covers - February 14th, 2007, 07:32 PM

In your opinion what is the best way to finalize your dvds and dvd cases??

Im looking for the finishing touch for my library and was interested in others ways

Right now i just make cases by downloading the covers and pronting them on photo paper...
gets a little bit pricey but looks nice

First, never use any "stickers" or labels, for a DVD!!

Not unless you want to screw up yer DVD player forever. CD's - OK - but not DVD's - they spin a whole lot faster and a bit of stickum comes loose you're dead.

You must get printable DVD's. These can be found at most retail places like CompUSA - their selection is usually bad - but check out Meritline.com or MediaSuperstore.com

Now - what printer? You almost have to get an Epson printer. They have a patent on the slide tray where you put the blank printable DVD - prints it perfectly centered. Check out the printers. Notice none except Epson has the tray!!!

I know the Canon people will say you can kludge their setup and print DVD's but - again- Canon printers do not have the same slide-out tray as Epson. :icon_boun
