Swap Magic 3.8 - February 5th, 2007, 08:13 PM

I was looking into buying the swap magic 3.8 for my ps2 but I am not sure where to buy it from. Their are a lot of sites that sell it but they seem too grungy. Has anyone bought one and if so where.

Also consider HDLOADER + exploit, it saves on laser wear on the PS2 and make loading games a lot less hassle.

I prefer HDAdvance. HDDs are practically free now and it's nice to boot your PS2 and see that large list of games to choose from... if you own a large list of games, that is. :)

I'm also curious about this, I haven't had a problem with 3.6, does 3.8 do any extra cool stuff?

I think 3.8 allows for action replay codes. I may be wrong though.

I remember playing back up games with Game genie for PS1 long ago. I tried swap magic but could never get it to work, had to disassemble the front part of the tray and its too much of a hassle.. XBOX hack was marvelous.. A media center of its own, tons of games on a 500 gig hard drive, emulators, xvid shows, stream stuff to it.. Wonderful.. XBOX360 now lets you load games on to the hard drive and I love playing in High Def.

Swap magic 3.8 just lets you use cheat codes I believe. Save your money and go with swap magic 3.6.

Can I give links to sites that sell it? Try estarland, this is where I got my copy.

Or, to skip the hassle all together, look into Free McBoot 1.8.

Here is a tutorial on how to install the newest version.

And here is a tutorial how to play burnt games with free mcboot.

I have tested it and it works great!
