Ps2 Emulator Is Out And Works! - January 4th, 2007, 01:09 PM

PCSX2 0.9.2 Binary

This is the PCSX2 0.9.2 emulator compressed package.

Includes a Compatibility list for you to check your game against and a selection of patches which will make some games go further.

PCSX2.exe is a Virtual Memory build and should be faster than PCSX2t.exe, this build however requires Win XP Pro or Win XP Home Edition (SP2).

PCSX2t.exe is a TLB build, and is slower than the Virtual Memory build, use this if you do not have a Win XP OS, or are having trouble running games with the VM version.

I've been trying to find a proper PS2 emulator... so thanks! However, aren't emulators rather taxing on computer resources?

Yes they are.

Consoles use RISC along with other fancy tricks, which make them faster and better dedicated games machines than most PCs.

I don't doubt the emulator "works". But who really wants to play a game at 2 - 5 FPS, with random garbled graphics?

You only have to look at the state of N64 / PS1 emulation (Even Sony's official PS1 emulator) to see that this is a looooong way off.

Best bet if you really want to play dodgy PS2 games is buy a modchip you cheap gits.
