Hi all, I'm new to eDonkey. I managed to download a file, and got disconnected at 99% done. I think the server was 195.112.128.222 (Adanet) I have been trying to reconnect to this server now for 3 days, but have been unsucessful to date, in the hope of getting the remaining 1% of this file. Is there any adjustments I need to do to eDonkey, to improve the chances? Many thanks Chris

It depends on the availaibility of the file your downloading, if its really great then just trolling the servers, will pick you up users who have the same hash on the file as you.

But there are two things I have noticed helps with my downloads, and thats closeing down the donkey every once in a while, and restarting, this seems to help, as well as frequently switching servers.

Thanks Lennin1928 for the reply. I just carnt understand why I carnt connect to that server anymore. I do eventually connect to "a" server, but it has say just 600 users on it, so I guess no chance of getting the rest of that file there, lol! Will just have to keep trying. I must say that Kazaa and winmx seem to be far more consistant, so may give them a go...Cheers
