Terminator 4 is go

The producer of Terminator 4 - slated to begin production in Australia next year - has said the project will certainly go ahead, whether Arnold Schwarzenegger can make a cameo appearance or not. According to UK tabloid the Mirror, Andy Vajna said: “We would like Arnie as a cameo. We want to go on with the Terminator and turn it into a real sci-fi picture - there is a very interesting role for Arnold if he wants it. But I’m not sure where he is with his politics - we’ll see.”

Quite how the Terminator franchise’s latest outing will succeed without Arnie remains to be seen. Writers John Brancato and Michael Ferris have already knocked together a screenplay for the fourth outing and Vajna confirmed: “We have the script ready and we are now looking for a director and figuring out what the next step is.”

One was great, two was and still is one of my favourite movies ever, three was alright so lets hope the fourth is good.

I don't think three was on par....the fourth one scares me as it has potential to be really bad

I am thinking the story will be about Reece and John attempting to stop the Machines
from building the time machine.

Then when they fail the possible arnie camio would be at the end when
John and his Best Friend/Dad Reece find the time machine and send Reece back to stop arnie
from killing John and subsequently laying the sausage to Sara Connor

....the movie should really be about John going back and kicking Reece in the nuts for shagging his mom

I'd not be to interested in this movie if Arnie wasn't in it, i think this may flop at box office if he isn't staring.

Arnie is the terminator he will always be known for the films (much less for the 3rd one)

but making a terminator film without him is like making a jaws film without a shark :/

these days he wouldn't actualy have to appear live to still get in the movie
he would just have to agree to let them use his likeness
the rest could be done with CGI

if its just a small cameo part ..this easily would be the way to go
but he may well refuse to do even that..

The greatest part about the newer version of The TIme Machine was the answer to "Why can't I change the past"... because if it didn't happen, you wouldn't have wanted to travel back.

It can be good without him, or maybe lead up to where John Conner sends his friend back to protect him and his mom. Full circle.. ANyways, the terminator machines always looked cool. Could be sweet to see them all around blowing crap up.
