Neural Noise Synthesizer - Controlling Brainwaves with Sound - November 20th, 2005, 01:23 AM

I just got this awesome program called Neural Noise Synthesizer. It works on the following principles:

Resonance-- when you play a note on a piano, and something in the room vibrates. Basically, transfering a wave or vibration from one object to another.

Brainwaves-- the natural fluctuation of your brain's activity can be measured in waves of electromagnetic signals. Different wave frequencies can be associated with different states of mind (sleep, wakefulness, creativity, energy, euphoria, hypnosis).

Basically, your sleep cycle always includes "delta pattern" dreams that are kinda crazy and off the wall, and then it has "theta pattern" dreams that are more sensible. the delta dreams are impossible for your brain to remember, but the theta dreams are easy to remember. So, this program generates sound tracks that will alter your brain state. Just pick one from the list and hit "play" or "loop" and follow the directions that go along with each item in the list. The sleep cycle editor is said to follows the typical sleep cycle as you sleep, but as you enter the delta phase, it periodically interrupts your delta phase with theta waves, so that you will be lucid during the crazy dreams.
