You could have content based forums like Music, Movies, Games, etc.. But people usually request warez and etc. on it which you dont want. Program Features. This forum idea is based on a general forum area but it would be where people would post what they want to see in what they think is their dream file sharing program. A forum for rumors in the news section. Tweak forum where people can post tweaks on how to improve the performance of a P2P program. Add sub-forums to Dr. Fileshare based on the types of problems like -General Problems -Connecting -Downloading/Uploading. Change the name of the FeedBack forum to Site FeedBack/Forum Problems. |

Advanced User Forum -
April 25th, 2002, 02:36 PM
Hmmmm...just thought of this while out picking up chicks:
» Advanced Users Forum - A forum where Advanced users or Developers can hang and discuss topics that aren't for beginners. STRICTLY moderated by someone with deep P2P knowledge and no ego. If you look at HTF (Home Theater Forum) they have an advanced user forum. Beginners are told to post in other forums, no flame wars are allowed to break out and hardcore home theater nuts share design ideas. Very cool space. |

All of the ideas so far sound good, and I already posted my ideas in this thread. And how about an IRC channel for live chat? I think I'll go register a channel on dalnet right now. |

How about something along the lines of "trading vs. sharing debate"? We all know that someone will start thread on it at some point, but it would be nice to have forum format with ground rules and moderation. Otherwise instead of a constructive debate it's degenerate into insults and mud-slinging.
something to think about anyway.... Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats". |

we need a spyware section. Maybe a paranoid section. Rummors section. A general Where can I find section and I have lost my bloody mind section. Maybe even a pointless section.
