edonkey -

I was never a fan of edonkey, but recently I found a file at http://sharereactor.com that I was interested in. I downloaded newest version and I been running it for about 2 weeks now. It is best for big files and it just plods along and one thing I do like. It seems stable and does not use to much resources. I have been able to multi-task and run other file sharing apps. It really has it's use. It's great for movies and other large files.

Edonky needs an updated serverlist (server.met file) to work. Have a look at www.thedonkeynetwork.com for tools to update the serverlist before starting the donkey. Once that's done, it should work for you.
I recommend a few hours of forum-trawling at www.edonkey2000.com before you get started though, as it's tricky to set up properly- but it pays off big time. I always considered edonkey "p2p for pros" - tricky, but the best. Kazaa is for kids ;) |
