2005 movie releases - January 13th, 2005, 09:16 PM

What are some movies coming out later this year that you think will be good or bad.

KING KONG (2005) December, seen the original several times and one question still reamains: Why did they build that huge wall with a giant door for King Kong to fit through? I expect great FX but who really cares about seeing another version of this classic.

INDIANA JONES 4 (2005) Could suck, could be good, its a coin toss.

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE (2005) I loved this story as a kid, can't wait to see a movie of it.

BATMAN BEGINS (2005) I havent watched any of these since part 2 but I think this one will be one to watch foe sho.

CONSTANTINE (2005) Wish I could be excited about this one since its based on one of the best adult comics out there. I hope to be suprised by Keanu Reeves great acting skills. Where Gary Oldman when you need him.

WAR OF THE WORLDS (2005) Could be very good, I have not heard much about it yet.

war of the worlds and constantine seem like they will be awsome and i could never see a indiana jones movie being bad as the other 3 were so good.

I have said not once: in 2005 will be released "amityville horror 2005" and "evil dead 2005". I'm almost sure - these movies will be the horror classic.

BATMAN BEGINS <---- they were filming parts of that here in Downtown Chicago(Lower/Upper Wacker Dr + on Lake St.).....and the new batmobile looks like a tractor on crack...still not bad.

well, i think the orig. 'king kong' always was, is and will be the classic. you wont find any people who havent seen it. maybe the 'king kong 2005' will be good or very good, but it hasnt any chances to overtake the orig. movie.

"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" looks really good in a creepy sort of way.

Gotta love Tim Burton movies.

No I am not a Captain & Tenille fan.
I just thought it was catchy!

I've been wanting to see War of the Worlds for a while. I love the 1950's version and the book too.

I guess there was some smaller production studio working on a version of the film, which is going to follow the book's plot very closely. When Spielberg heard about this they speeded up pre-production of their movie to release it first. Now it's doubtful we'll see the smaller production on anything but a video store shelf.

The one I'm expecting to be special is Serenity, coming out in September of 2005.

It's based on the Fox cancelled TV series Firefly. Not that I was a big fan of the series, I just have a hunch Firefly and Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon has been waiting for a chance to prove himself on the big screen. I think he's going to do it.

I swear if I see Amityville or American Ninja 2 again, I'm going to scream my head right off...
