It depends on what flavour of xp u have - if u have upgraded then on boot up press F8 just before u see starting msdos then select start in previous version of dos , then run fdisk from the command line, this works also if u hae a dual win98/xp system just start it in win98 then shut down to dos and run fdisk, if u have a standalone xp system then u will have to either press f8 on boot up ,when u see the 1st menu which shows advanced startup features and other cr.ap select start as normal hit return then hit f8 directly after that- it will then allow u into the msdos boot menu screen where as before u can select start msdos only, or (pauses for breath) u can download a little free program called killwin from http://www.bk-soft.com and this will allow u to shut down into dos mode from xp like win 98 or (another breath) u can download bootmagic ver 7.0 from * - file size * KB and use this which is the best program for doing anything disk wise - runs rings around fdisk :cross
