Maybe you shuold try disabling the built in firewall.
If u dont know how just go start, settings, network connections. Right click on loacla area connections and click on the advanced then uncheck the box.

Easy fix - I had the same problem -- You MUST ( no choice ) disable the internal firewall that comes with XP----Its easy to disable and enable again when you are thru with BLUBSTER-- How to do it-- CONTROL PANEL , then NETWORK CONNECTION, LOCAL AREA NETWORK shows and you will see that the firewall is enabled - CLICK on LOCAL, and voila the Firewall will show that it is disabled - Now Blubster will connect -- After you are done with BLUB , you can click LAN again to ENABLE---- This seems to be the only P2P that you need to do this with.

let me know if it works-------------- Ralph

i hear blubster is so great, but i can't connect to see this for myself.
I have disabled XP's firewall and have tried both versions, 1.2.3 and 2.0b1. I also tried opening Blubster after closing Zone Alarm. Still, nothing...
I have DSL and all other file-sharing programs work for me.
Is there some kind of trick that needs to be done to make blubster work?
I feel like I'm missing out on getting music from Blubster...(although I'm having great success with Kazaa Lite)

Are you also using a router? (I know those tend to cause problems also)

My advice, go into blubster's chat room. Most of the time someone is there that can help in person :)
