Angry i need so much help! - May 8th, 2002, 03:17 PM

ok i have several probs-first i have a dsl modem connected to a router thats conencted to a lan with two comps- im on one and i dont know if running winmx is a problem with firewalls- second im having trouble with servers and connection- i do the manual connections but it always says waiting and i can only connect to about 20 servers-my last thing is it looks like the WPNP server does better than the open nap server can u tell me what could be the issue?

On the router issue you need map ports through its hardware firewall by going steup page of the router. There ate option to open ports and you need type in the port numbers that winmax gives in the steup for TCP and UDP packets and then reboot router.
In general, connecting to people on wpnp for dl is more reliable than open nap because some open naps are slow to repsond to a dl requests and it results in timing out.
