Are you talking about alternating posts in a thread or the little icon that idicates whether or not there have been new posts in the forum since your last visit?

IMHO, it would be helpful if both of them were changed.

I totally agree. I had to really sqint my eyes to see the difference between the two icons the first time. Any colors that contrast would be good. :error

Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".

Shades of blue are really hard to tell the difference, use red or green or something else really distinct.

Changing the color of posts background is simple, its just a matter of going into the [fonts/colors/etc] of the default syle and modifying the hex for First Alternating Table Background Color.
The icons would be more difficult though, since that involves using the Graphics Developer's Kit .psd files to edit the picures in PhotoShop.

Actaully I really like the shades of blue now, I've gotten used to it and it does nicely with the former Zeropaid design on the main page and stuff.

Maybe just stick with the darker blue and use something like this one to indicate a new post.

speaking of color...would it be possible or even considered to choose a different color theme for the forum? one that isn't so blaring? Just a suggestion.
