I have two suggestions for two different types of people, not sure which u are....
There is Pegasus Mail, a client that has been around for years and has a solid reputation. The newest version is 4.02, is a totally revamped client far BEYOND the standards of OE, and has been recently awarded "best email package" by PCWorld. Its totally free, millions use it, and the upcoming 4.1 version is supposebly even more feature rich than Eudora, without having useless crap. Downside, kinda dull interface. Get it at http://www.pmail.com Next there is Pocomail, the client i personally use. Its VERY much as feature rich as Eudora and Outlook, and goes even farther with skin support, the "Clean" and " Pocozilla" skins look very nice. I can tell u now that this client is speedy, and very stable with its 2.61 release. Hasn't been around as far as Pegasus, but is much cooler looking which was the deciding factor for me since both clients have pretty much almost the same features. By the way, its won TONS of awards as well. Downside, it costs $29.99 or something, but its nothing a lil circumvention can't fix. :;) Get it at http://www.pocomail.com Tell me what u think, glad to be of assistance. |

I don't think pocomail can access hotmail. I know hotmail used to work with foxmail, but probably hotmail changed something and the developer of foxmail will need to update his app. soon.
I recommend going with another email account also. try http://fastmail.fm ...it is very cool and you can access it either by web or through pocomail... you do know however that pocomail is shareware and will stop being functional in 90 days. maybe you can find a serial number for it though... I did :-) some details: fastmail uses imap not pop, so only certain email clients work with it. pocomail should work as well as another I also like called Calypso. Calypso is freeware now, used to be shareware. |
