"Walking" Data? - August 17th, 2002, 08:57 AM

A while back I read an artical (maybe it was here) about how "walking" random bits of data from computer to computer across a P2P, like gnutella, can improve the spead it takes to search for a file when compared to the flood searching style curretly used. Dose anyone know if anyone is actually trying to implement this? Or maybe doing more research on it? It's supposed to improve things to the point that was the swankness of Napster in its hey-day.
