Unhappy mac file sharing from a PC ??? - January 4th, 2004, 02:44 AM

Hi,

I have a PC and a Mac, but only the PC is connected to the internet.

What I'd like to know is if there are any file sharing programs (kazaa sort of thing) which would give me access to mac files to download from my PC....mainly looking for music related applications and programs

Then I guess i can just burn them onto a cd and put the cd in the mac....(???)

PLease let me know if you can help.

Thanks

I see plenty of stuff on eMule/eDonkey. Kazaa is always a little tricky for programs with all those fakes and viruses.

Also try limewire, it's good for Mac software. But the best is bittorrent. Get it and then go to TorrentsKickAss.com and SuprNova.org. I do this all the time. The first site makes you register, but they just ask for an email and password, and you can fake the email if you want. It'll be worth your time, I promise. :santa

BitTorrent is a program that allows you to download the files that are linked from the torrent. Different sites index the torrents so you can find what you want.

TorrentSearch allows you to search a huge database for torrents, novasearch.net allows you to search the SuprNova.org database

My current setup stats (like anyone cares...):

ASUS A8N32-SLI Motherboard
AMD 4400+ Dual-Core CPU
Windows Vista (Ultimate 32bit)
2 GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS RAM
2x250 GB (in RAID 0) HDDs
EVGA GeForce 7950 GTX 512 MB
Creative X-FI Fatal1ty XtremeGamer

Also sporting a black MacBook
Revision/Release 1
Upgraded to 2GB RAM.

Not the end, torrentskickass has more mac stuff. They're both good though. Sometimes they have the same torrents and you can try them both to get the most sources on something.
