mixing and instrumental file, with an accapella song! any suggestions on programs? - August 13th, 2002, 03:58 PM

more or less, i am looking for a program *freeware* that can mix to formats, something better then sound recorder, i want this program, to be able to mix an instrumental song, with a accapella song* so that it can be a complete mix.
does anyone have any good suggestions? :fire

Can't think of a freeware app off hand, but with luck someone here will.
But wanted to mention a app I downloaded recently here is the info file from the app. below:

thanks, for the information, i was able to use sound recorder that came with windows *useful for something*. then i used mp3 trim to remove the silence.
i was able to mix the accapella song, with the instrumental song, and now, it sounds pretty kick ass.

cnet or zdnet and check out a bunch. the demo version of cooledit2000 or the demo of goldwave will help you do this. There are a ton of others that will let you overlay sounds. Warning these have a ton of buttons and functions. If you read the help menue you can get the order. good luck.

Before I started using Soundforge, I used Goldwave it does a lot for a small program, get the demo and it is very easy to upgrade to full version ; -) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I still have it installed and use it for smaller projects
