waste and NAT

first post, so hi to all here
I am on a small LAN (3 Pc) connected to the net with a DSL connection. The DSL connection is shared by one PC with winXP... (let's name it pcA) . My computer (pcB) access the web accross the pcA (who do nat) and doesnt have a routable ip (something like 192.168.x.x).
So my question is:
Can I use waste with pcB?

i haven't tried it, but it's definately worth a shot...

if the second PC can't connect to the mesh, then connect the first PC to the mesh and connect the second PC to the first PC...

that'll get you connected with the rest of the bunch :)

Yes. It will probably work better if you configure port forwarding so your waste cleint can recieve incoming connections. It's been a few months since I used waste, I seem to recall that getting it to use the correct external ip was a pain, might be usfull to setup a dynamic dns name using one of the free services.

The wasted developers may have made a better version by now, but when I tried that i had the problem that the bandwidth limit in the client includes lcal network traffic. If you set the first pc to 20KB/s then it uses most of that talking to the other PC on the lan. If you leave it unlimited it uses all your internet bandwidth.

I will try the second solution with waste 1.0b.
Since pcA is a windows box i am afraid about implementing port forwarding on it...
