Napster was great for it's time -

With Napster and AudioGalaxy I got every file I could think of . Rare, obscure it didn't matter it was there. I only wish I had DSL then. I had a dial up modem and the downloads were painfully slow. I did meet some really great people on those programs but onward and foward. Where the hell is those new versions of Bluster, Filetopia, FileNavigator & WinMx already?!?!

Of course. Back when it worked, you could find anything you wanted there. I can't see the variety of mp3s that Napster had in any of today's file sharing programs.

Napster started it all, and it was very stable, but at that time i only had MSN dialup. Right when I got DSL Napster was in the shutting down face and KaZaA was rising into the all powerful state it is today, same with Morpheus but then it changed to Gnutella and that was the end for Morpheus
