I'm on my friends mac. I don't know how to use it but it's a lot like trillian with a pimped out GUI and lots more features. You can just get an AIM screen name which is totally free. I believe it works with ICQ, but it also has its own chat network, it's good stuff. If they had it for PC, it would be by far the best.

theinfamousone: ichat is nothing like trillian... trillian is multi-network and blah blah blah...
ichat is only for aim (and rendezvous, but that doesn't work unless you work at a company or are at a college) to use ichat, you really do need an aol sn. then, ask your friends for their aol sn, and then add them to the buddy list in ichat. when they come online, just talk to them. im assuming you have used aim or proteus or adium in the past, so you know what a buddy list is. |

The buddy list is self-explanatory...
I don't have ?uestions about that I guess my ?uestion is more are there chat rooms and crap for random bullshit?... or is it just for friends you already have?... I thought that was what e=mail was for... Also... I know just enough to get by... ie: What's a GUI? -Albert Einstein |

gui = graphical user interface
gui is the thing that makes everything pretty, no more dos command line bs. you can do chats in ichat... its in one of the menus. try command-g? not sure. good luck. |
