do you light them off, or do you watch some show the network put on for you? any great stories? Disfiguring accidents? (just kidding) this doesn't just apply to americans, if your country has celebrations/holidays that involve fireworks, post your stories here.

ah, no exciting or mutilating stories to tell, but the best fireworks i've ever seen r the ones held on the Detroit river, between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario.
it shows the best from both the Americans and Canadians.
it is excellent and i go every year.
i love them, only wish they could last longer.

There was a fire in forested area along river smack in the middle my city last week. Bunch of people got evacuated but thankfully no one's house burned down.

Anway they banned fireworks within city limits and state and national parks this year. Good luck enforcing it though....

Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".

Talking stories, huh??? - July 4th, 2003, 05:44 AM

... i didn't like them when i had my horse ... he was terrified of the noises & i hated seeing him so frazzled & wild ...

... but for the most part, i do love watching them ... 1 year a group of us went to a golf courses highest hill, near where the fireworks were to be set off ... the best view with less crowds. just before they were set to go off ... we could hear this clicking noise ... everyone looking at each other & looking around, very puzzled ( which was kinda funny looking in itself ...) click, click, click, spray!!!!!! time to water the greens!!! hehe!!! i was laughing so hard, watching everyone trying to gather up all their stuff & run, that i couldn't move ... hencely ... me got kinda wet ... funny, funny ... :upside

Funny thing, the human mind--I read choice three as if the word "else" were in there! Coulda sworn I seen it in there!

The funniest story I have about fireworks is the time my friend Smith and I stuck an M-80 inside a frozen bluefish and blew it right the fuck up--pieces of frozen fish flyinf everywhere; the tail landed 100 feet away!

There's a reason why fireworks are banned in RI...:hole
