Mac's don't rule my world mainly coz there aint the P2P apps that there are on MS. However I'd love to have a mac, if you wouldn't mind giving one to me I'd gladly accept.

Go look at the scores...your weak ass G4 couldn't even kick a P3's ass. Hell the only thing it topped was a 1700+ XP, a load of lame ass Celerons, and a first gen P4.

Put ONE G5 CPU up to ONE P4/XP and have a nice equal playing field WITHOUT optimized code. NO 64bit path usage on the G5's side and the same for the P4 or XP if you choose to use the 64bit models.

The PC based system would kick the living shit outta the Mac without breaking a sweat. Also factor in the use of serial ATA on the Mac's side and it being 'tweaked' before it ever leaves the factory as opposed to a basic custom PC or even a DELL and you have a decent 'head to head' between the two.

Till that happens Apple can talk it's shit and act like kicking a over priced under spec DELL's ass was a great accomplishment, but till I see some fair tests I won't even both taking Apple's personal ones into account.

Can't you read? What I said wasn't that hard to comprehend. And AMD already has a 64 bit cpu out as does intel. They're also planning on a 64bit workstation P4 if I remember right. So yeah once you can lay down 3 chips (maybe 4 if VIA gets into the market on that level...) of equal power and run them without any extra goodies on any of the platforms. Then an only then will it be a fair test.

lol, no, i'll stop. but if you are gonna post a website, at least read it. on the frontpage, it shows the g4 1.25ghz beating an amd 2100. the 2100 has a higher clockspeed than 1.5ghz, so it won't be shown in that link (from ccsdude, the second link).

ta da, mystery solved. just as apple didn't cheat on the spec tests. sse2 was enabled, ht off on the dual xeon gave it faster scores, the different mallocs will be available, etc.
