Napster in limbo? - July 18th, 2002, 11:39 AM

Last i heard Napster had filed for Bankrupcy protection and it's quite a mess. Shawn Fanning was in a power struggle for control of Napster because some CEO was saying he knew what was best for the company when i don't think he really did. I knew a few people who were beta testing for the new Napster they said the setup was nice but the probelm lied in the fact would people pay for it? Would the RIAA let it have full liscensing? Napster has good marketable value as people were very familiar with it and it was very user friendly. Just i am still unsure people would go with a soldout Napster. Any Other thougths?

I think.. - July 18th, 2002, 01:29 PM

I think Napster will never get back open again, and if it does, then they will make people pay, and it just wont last. Say all the p2p programs in the world either shutdown or made people pay, then I would just starting buy cds again....

Fanning has nothing better to do thses days than design new web pages :)

Anyone know if the lawsuit is over against Napster if bankruptcy gets approval?
