I'm interested to see this also.

Supreme, this is probably the best thread you've ever made.

I do agree that people should only post sites that are operational.

EDIT: I guess its against forum rules to post links to sites with torrents.

But why would a mod use Jorge's name in editing his post Wolfie?

Jorge doesn't edit posts. It was probably one of the mods. Don't take it too hard since they be have been trying to hammer in that message (not posting torrents and related stuff) to some troublemakers (not that I'm saying you are) out there quite recently.

BTW, welcome to ZP. :-)

Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".

The major problem with Bittorrent it seems is the availability and organization or torrents.

Its too hard to find a reliable source of torrents.

personally, I try hard to seed (upload) files, but I'm always facing non-working trackers or anouncement sites which are down. The bad with bittorrents is, that they mostly rely on one single server (tracker) and if this is down, then no automatic redirect to a working one takes place. Conclusion: the bittorrent protocol is superb, but the sharing architecture lacks some key features.

Maybe sometimes somone creates new, more reliable software around the amazing bittorrent protocol ...

I think Nasrules has the right idea. Post the names of the sites but don't link to them.

You can't post the links. Just say them by name.

Suprnova, Bytemonsoon, Torrentse, Torrentlinks.

*ranked* list - June 20th, 2003, 01:27 PM

Wouldn't it be nice, if a *ranked* list could be provided - similar to what zeropaid provides for file-sharing software?

Filesoup has at least a specific forum section which tracks sites: up or down.

Maybe there's something much better, but we don't know about.
