BT++ is really good for my connection. - May 22nd, 2003, 04:42 AM

My ISP capped my download speed at 40kb/s download (it used to be 20 kb/s) But BT++ goes over 80 kb/s constantly, does anyone know why? maybe something to do with ports?

Well it's really great anyway, I downloaded over 600mb in about half a day. Normally I use Emule and Kazaa Lite K++ but BitTorrent is really much better. The only disadvantage is that BT++ itself doesn't contain a search function, and it doesn't have much rare files.

Shareaza doesn't report the speeds in what your used to.

Orignally it reports Bits or bytes (not sure) by default

you have to set it to KB/s to get your correct speed.

I had it in Kb/s and it was reporting line max of 1.5megs

I changed it to KB/s and it was 150KB/s

Perhaps this applies to BT++ to.

like whitrabbit said, shareaza reports in bits. one byte = 8 bits.

if bt++ reports that you are getting 80kb (note SMALL b), then you are really only getting 10kB (note CAPITAL B)

so... check.
