FAIL - Rupert Murdoch Suggests Fair Use is Illegal (Inquisitr) -
November 8th, 2009, 11:18 PM
News Corp founder and CEO Rupert Murdoch has told an interview with Sky News Australia that News Corp will likely remove News Corp content from Google.
The revelation came early in the interview, after Murdoch claimed that Google and others are stealing News Corp content in response to a question about who he was talking about when he talked about plagiarists. “The people who simply pick up everything to run with, and steal our stories…they just take them..without payment. That’s Google, Microsoft, Ask.com..a whole lot of people.” Murodch claimed that readers who visit News Corp sites via search offer little value to advertisers, and that News Corp would rather have fewer people coming to their websites, but paying. Asked why News hasn’t made its sites invisible to Google, Murdoch replied: “I think we will….but that’s when we start charging.” Murdoch also claims that News Corp believes that the doctrine of Fair Use can be challenged in court and “barred altogether.” More... Holleywood and the record industry must be so proud of him for taking up the noble cause of striking down the fair use doctrine. |

Rupert Murdoch made his whole empire on telling lies for those who don't want to know the truth. Its only logical he would apply that same logic in his day to day life, I.E. he only accepts the truth, if its his truth.
Ha! did you catch the part about 3 strikes law, he doesn't even understand a law he is pushing to implement. He relates it to someone creating a website, and having to shut down their website on the 3rd strike. Hell, no one would have an issue with this. Announcer: "Likened him to Stalin" Rupert:" no no no not Stalin not one of our people" LMAO, Ruport disapproves of his hosts extreme douchebaggeries. http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=55492 |

Seems Rupert was address him specificly when he was talking about using News Corp websites stories for personal use. He kind of threw around don's middle name as well. Plagiarist!!!!! |

No sir not in the least. Those sites mentioned by me are News Corp owned websites that are used by the above mention poster and on topic and of a ligitment nature. Their articles have been used in post by said poster in the past with no credit given. That more then fits the bill of plagirism which Rupert is complaining about.
This can be verified by reading past post of said poster that I pointed out were of a plagirist nature. I pointed this out to the poster and to moderation on numerous occassions. They went completely ignored by both at that time and to this date. No hijacking but very very related to the tropic at hand. If the aforementioned poster is in for a dime then he is in for a dollar as well wouldn't you say? |

read your pm's
My point is and was this subject had nothing to do with the member you speak of, the author of the thread was not making a clever commentary about someone elses cut and paste nature. you took one thing and for some unknown reason made it about something else, hijacking. Using your logic one could make all sorts of nonsensical associations to a given subject if you were creative enough. Kind of like saying I have a relation to Kevin Bacon in the 6th degree if I look far enough down the people I know. BAD Lyrics - MICHAEL JACKSON Michael Jackson Bad Lyrics. ... Now - if you were to watch the posting styles of some here, you would see they do not post other people's complete works verbatim, and that when they do post other people's work, incomplete, they then provide a link to the complete work. What the main article discusses is News Corp pulling back access due to plagiarist practices - they refer to "news" sites, but for some reason I doubt they would leave out forums and blogs in which people are posting uncredited articles in full. There is your connection between this forum, and this article. Good day, sir. |

The MIAA and the rest have been using the same BS arguement against P2P that they used against Betamax in the 70's. That arguement being that video taping would spell the end of the movie and tv industry. Christ they were wrong then and they are just as wrong now. Think it's about time to take back Murdoch's U.S. citizenship and ship him back to kangaroo land Drew. |
