Spirit of light and love, Creator and Sustainer, God of many names, Sometimes the burdens I shoulder feel like more than I can bear. I am terrified I shall break under their pressure, My wallet flattened, My hopes broken, My dreams in dust, My mind staggering, Under the crushing weight of uncertainty. As I struggle with my fears, And work to hold my creditors at bay, As I fight to regain a financial foothold And hope against hope To reverse my fall, Uplift my heart, oh God. Rekindle my faith. Make me mindful of thy many gifts, Lest, overwhelmed by the threats to my well-being, I forget them, And I forget you. This is my prayer: to pray for what I have, To pray for health, if I am graced with health; To pray for love, if blessed with loved ones, Who offer me the priceless gift of love's embrace. Remind me to pray, if I am blessed to be a parent, for the treasure of children; To pray for the wealth of friends, who stand beside me through my bleakest days, And share my pain. In this veil of tears and trouble, Raise my sights to look out upon the many beacons, Shining their light upon my life. Remind me to give thanks for those, Who reach out to take my hand, Who walk with me and stand by me, Who raise my spirits by their presence, Whose smile brightens my view, And lifts my heart, And gives me joy. For if I pray for the wonders that are mine To savor this very day, These, the most precious, of my prayers will come true. I shall again unwrap the present, Give thanks for thy many gifts. My lifeline will be strengthened, My perspective widened, And for one brief, shining moment, The shadows will lift from my heart. So it is I offer up my thanks. So it is I utter forth, oh God, From the depth of my soul, This grateful prayer of gratitude and praise.

Dear Lord:
May we come together as one.....Caring for those around us. May we be willing to help one another make it through these hard times. May we turn to you Father God, trusting in you, know that you will bring us through whatever we may be going though as long as we keep our focus on you. Give us peace to know that you are in control...May we take time in prayer and meditation each day.... Knowing of you love for us....We ask and pray in your name.

Dear Lord:
May we take the time to be guided by your spirit. Father God......May we have patience, to wait upon you, Lord.....Not willing to rush through things in our lives, and have them just fall apart....May we learn the meaning of understanding, when we relate to each other, for to receive Love we must give Love. May we share the love that comes from you, with those around us....Not using harsh words when we are angry---But be willing to wait til our anger ceases, then speak to those that we are upset with...May we have a kind and gentle heart. A heart of peace and understanding. May we pray for those that are day, under the weather, or whatever their situation might be, that they will receive a touch from you and find the peace that comes only from you. We ask and pray this in your name.

Dear Lord:
May we take time to understand one another and being willing to work with each other---May we being to forgive those that have offended us...Lord, we pray for reconciliation within families between brothers and sisters, those that have split up.....May we always trust that your will be done. So many times we are not willing to work things out in relationships- that we stay bitter and angry. Father God, we pray that families will be brought back together and be a family that serves you, loves you as you love us. Guide us each day in the way we interact with one another. May our behavior reflect you Oh, Lord.....May we come together as a family, broken relationships, broken marriages, broken friendships. We come to you Lord and pray for our families to get together. We ask and pray this in your name.

A Prayer for Resting in God's Love

Father God, I come into your presence so aware of my human frailty and yet overwhelmed by your love for me. I thank you that there is no human experience that I might walk through where your love cannot reach me. If I climb the highest mountain you are there and yet if I find myself in the darkest valley of my life, you are there. Teach me today to love you more. Help me to rest in that love that asks nothing more than the simple trusting heart of a child. In Jesus name, Amen

Dear Lord:
May we take the time to be thankful for what we have in our lives, before we just throw it away...Father God, so many times we just don't see what we have and think we want something better and when we get that "something" better, Its not really as good as we had and we threw it away...Lord, the phrase " The Grass Is Greener On The Other Side" is so false. It is from the Evil One....For it is not true at all.....Father God, we throw so many things away in our lives. Family, Friends, Relationships, and countless other things, my Lord. May we come to realize through you that throwing things out for something else is not the way you want us to live...May we be thankful and value the people that you have put in our lives. Our Families (husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, cousins) May we come to realize that you put people in our lives for a reason...May we be thankful what we got and not be so willing to throw it away....May we work hard to keep relationships together and serve you....May we take time in prayer and meditation as a family unit....To honor and love you and to honor and love those that you have sent our way. We ask and pray this in your name.

May we be willing to forgive one another, caring for those that have less than we do...Father God, as we celebrate Thanksgiving may we really understand, just as we are thankful, may we be willing to give to those that are less fortunate than we are.
