How many email addresses?

I was just wondering how many email addresses people have on average. Do you have lots like me?

I will admit that I have no idea how I got so many, but I have 5 with my ISP. I only use two of those, somewhat. I have 1 gmail account, that I use often. I have 3 MSN and Hotmail, which I use 2 on occasion. Then finally I have 3 yahoo and I use all of those accounts occasionally as well.

That's a grand total of ( I cant fucking believe this) 12 email accounts.

Anyone worse than me? I'm wondering if I should seek help.

2 personal e-mail accounts
2 "business" accounts

18 total, so you're not as bad as me.

Before you ask about why I had so many accounts on hotmail, I was using those accounts to fool someone I once knew via online chat. Ultimately, I caught the bastard saying that he wanted to murder me while I wasn't in a particular chatroom. Oh how everyone said I was crazy for thinking that he was actually (though he lacked the intelligence to carry it through) plotting to murder me. Imagine everyone's surprise when not only that it turned out to be true after a good amount of work on my part, but I was able to get that log in the first place and completely fool the guy into thinking I was 4 different people.

Copied and pasted the chatlog onto a public forum where everyone would see it in that particular community. Since IP addresses were impossible to track, I really had little to worry about. Unfortunately, he had friends in high places, so he wasn't really punished for it, though he did get looked down upon by many afterwards.

A few months later, I quit the whole "MSN environment" because the drama was absurd and I had enough stress going on in life anyway. This was years befor I joined the P2P community though. Don't bother looking for this though, the names are completely different including mine and the forums are long gone at this point. I've since stopped using multiple accounts anyway since, unless my life is on the line, it's really quite pointless in the end (and it takes too much work to maintain so many accounts when I have better things to do with my time anyway).

Anyway, I don't use most of those accounts anymore. I'd be surprised if half of them didn't get deleted by now.

I have various email accounts that have fallen by the wayside.

I've been running w/ email here and there since 1997 - had some yahoo, some hotmail, AoL, AT&T worldnet, local providers, Qwest - and all of those came w/ provider emails.

Now I just generally maintain my msn address very tightly.

The ones I actually use are

1 univeristy
1 hotmail
2 gmail
1 yahoo

University, gmail, all redirect to my hotmail. Gmail 1 is for formal business/social relations, gmail2 newletters and other possible spamming site, yahoo for definity spam, and hotmail just acts as a catch all that no one ever knows of as my official email account. Since I almost never log into my other accounts, the password is never made available keeping those email accounts safe. If anyone hacks my unimportant email accounts its not a big deal.

Also I have some email accounts on various sites that I never used in my life, filled with viagra spam.

I have 5 that I use on a regular basis:

1 work email address
1 paid email service provider
2 yahoo addresses
1 hotmail address

I also have 1 gmail address I use occasionally and 1 GMX email address as I'm trying out their service

Anyone else find it funny that yahoo has been associated as spam account for so many people. Wonder if they like the recognition of a good spam email account.

I used to use a couple different yahoo accounts as just that.

Speaking of spam, I have found gmail to have the best spam filter. Any thoughts?
