Damn, he's got an election next week too ...........![]() An ABC's New York affiliate WABC-TV, reported the arrest of Jason Shih, an alleged campaign worker for Governor Jon Corzine (D-NJ) charged with "possession of a controlled narcotic and paraphernalia that is used for distribution." The Corzine campaign wants it made CLEAR that Jason Shih is in no way, shape, or form involved with the releection campaign; that Mr. Shih is certainly not an assistant campaign director or staffer for the campaign; that they have no idea who Mr. Shih would even be, let alone why he would claim such a status; or why he would claim that the car that he was driving at the time of his drug bust was rented by the campaign, or why there were tickets to an Obama rally and other campaign paraphernalia mixed in with the drug paraphernalia. Understand? They want it made CLEAR.... ![]() Fortunately, the website Drug Policy Central captured the 7Online report for its readers. East Rutherford police say they pulled over the 25-year-old on Route 17 for driving while using a cell phone. Police say they found 19 ecstasy pills and several hundred glassine envelopes. He was charged with possession of a controlled narcotic and possession of distribution paraphernalia. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sh...arrest-website http://drugpolicycentral.com/bot/art...cal.go6039.htm . |

Democrats got handed Triple Whammy on Tuesday.. ![]() WASHINGTON – Independents who swept Barack Obama to a historic 2008 victory broke big for Republicans on Tuesday. Democrats had difficulty turning out their base, including the large numbers of first-time minority and youth voters whom Obama attracted. The erosion of support from independents and disapproval from Republicans suggests that the coalition Mr. Obama built to win the White House is frayed. (ACORN has been having a few problems lately and couldn’t show up)...... ![]() In Virginia Republican Bob McDonnell's won the governor's race over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds by almost a 2-1 margin. Republicans swept all three statewide offices up for election: governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. In New Jersey, a Democratic stronghold, Republican Chris Christie's ouster of New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine was a double-barreled triumph as Christie won by a similar margin. For the first time in a decade, Republicans have won statewide. In New York, Mayor Bloomberg, who ran as an independent, defeated City Comptroller Bill Thompson, a Democrat. "Conventional wisdom says that historically third terms haven't been too successful, but we've spent the past eight years defying conventional wisdom," The outcomes were sure to feed discussion about the state of the electorate, where Obama had pulled out all the big guns and had personally campaigned for Deeds and Corzine and voters still rejected them. It's difficult to separate Obama from the outcomes after he devoted a significant chunk of time working to persuade voters and suggests potential problems ahead as he seeks to achieve his policy goals and protect Democratic majorities. Americans were definitely hungry for change, but it appears it isn’t the brand of change Obama is selling. They’ve figured out he can’t be Community Organizer for the World. Next year 2010, most governors, a third of the Senate and all members in the House will have their jobs on the line, interviews with voters leaving polling stations were filled with reasons for Democrats to be concerned. ![]() http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_election_rdp |
