    Hi Drew,

    I own UniteTheCows.com

I'm not sure you know UTC, but I guess you've heard of us ;). We've been around since 2003. I recently purchased the site and am rebuilding it. I also recently purchased P2PForums.com and merged it into UniteTheCows. I also own P2PConsortium.com

Anyway, things are going well so at UTC since we merged and we're constantly trying to improve. I've been a long standing member of the above communites and served as staff at UTC & P2PC before I owned them.

I was wondering if you would be interested in a news position with us. The position would be for UniteTheCows. I'm restructing the staff.

I know you write here and understand that you may not have any extra free time on your hands. I've been thinking about unique news for a while now and your name was mentioned to me yesterday. So I thought I'd ask if you were interested.

Shoot me a PM here or at UniteTheCows.com if your interested.

    Thanks,
    Project-Buckfast

About Drew Wilson

Basic Information

About Drew Wilson
Biography:
Drew Wilson has a long history of writing in a relatively short amount of time. He's written for 4 years on two websites and two newspapers. While some writers on other websites have a passion for publishing what they believe is right, Drew Wilson not only writes about things like the state of the music industry, but actively participates in the music community as well, giving him a unique first hand perspective on things.

When a number of websites wrote solely on the state of BitTorrent, Drew picked up the slack on topics that other writers considered dead topics. As a result today, he's been a great contributor to the overall success of ZeroPaid and propelling it to competing against the most popular file-sharing related website on the internet today.

He didn't stop at picking up where other writers left off, he also pushed the envelope in writing about events happening in countries outside of North America. A number of writers believed that anything that happens in the United States matters and anything that happens outside of the United States is of very little importance. Drew Wilson disagreed with this notion and reported on international affairs. The attention his work gained caught many writers off guard and had many scrambling to keep up for a time.

Drew pushed even further and included topics surrounding privacy into his work and relating it to file-sharers. While some, even today, question this move, Drew recognizes that impacts on privacy can very easily have an impact to the average file-sharer. When Sweden's Lex Orwell law surfaced, Drew wrote about it immediately. One example: It was only when ThePirateBay started amping up pressure to stop the law that other sites started taking notice.

While his focuses have been on a number of topics, an area he only casually observes seems to have earned him a sort of trademark that has almost exclusively made his work popular - copyright hypocrisy. In 2007, Drew published a story about an anti-piracy organization being accused of piracy. While the story gained some popularity, it was his article of Sony BMG being sued for software piracy in 2008 that gained him some definite fame in the tech community in general. In 2009, he published a story about how the French governing party was targetted for music piracy. This article was reposted on the front pages of Digg, Slashdot, Reddit and numerous other websites.

Other groundshaking articles included a review of AllPeers, CRIA falling apart, India sleepwalking into a police state, Ray Beckerman being sued by the RIAA, developments in ACTA and his extensive coverage of the Canadian copyright debates.

With all of this and several interviews including TVUnderground, CIPPIC, WinMX and Russel McOrmond in under 4 years, things look very promising for a writer who, by legacy media standards, is just beginning his career.
Favorite Bands:
Drew has a number of music artists including Mike Foyle, DJ Eco, Onova, Sunny Lax, Logistics, Danny Byrd, Sub Focus, X0-000, Zale and Dan Vine. However, listing all the artists in this would require an encyclopedia given that he's interested in both the underground independent commercial music scene and the true underground open licensed music scene. In fact, he's liked music so much, he's joined the music community under the name 'Frozen IceCube' and produced several hours of music. He also helps promote other artists through a (currently off air) radio show under the name DJ Frozen IceCube in an effort to bring alternative music to communities that would otherwise not have even heard of the genre's he listens to, let alone hear of the artists who are in such a vibrant music genre.
Favorite Music:
His favorite music genre's are Trance, Drum N' Bass, psy-trance, and ambient. He also has an interest in hardcore, jumpstyle, dance, synthpop and other electronica genre's.
Favorite File Sharing Programs:
ED2K Network through eMule. BitTorrent second and file-hosting third.

http://www.zeropaid.com
Favorite Technology:
The internet. Mankinds greates intellectual invention to date.
Location:
