Biography:
Violinist (chamber music, but also soloist in pro-symphony orchestras)... but, after more
than 1000 concerts, still studying and analysing everything ...
Interest of course, is the music (from all periods from middle-age till contemporary, and
including some folkmusics: the root of everything, with though a certain addiction for the barocks
when it's played correctly, and French post-Romantics between 1870 and 1920...) and of course
all other Arts, doing myself some paintings from time to time, and publishing also poetry,
novels, and technical books on music and instruments... "a-propos", talking 'bout instruments,
I'm also constructing copies from Middle age and Renaissance instruments (after drawings,
paintings and sculptures from those times) to use them for old music concerts and recordings.
Gosh, all that looks terribly dedicated and abstract, and I will quickly add that I'm also "très"
interested in Gastronomy as a proper Art too (I know one must eat to live and not live for eating,
but since one has to eat, I see no reason to have to do it badly and not to enjoy it, doing an Art of
it!... and so, in the same way that I am concocting an old varnish after an Italian recepe from 1564,
I like to concocte a sauce from an old manuscript of the middle age, a drink from the Court of
François 1st , or an orange-duck from the XIXe (2 full days to prepare).
Since 2 years now, I'm fallen in the computers, and, after having been quite opposed to that new
craze (like rollers or skate board I said), without abandoning anything from what I was doing, I'm
in the contrary learning how to use it to do whatever I was doing before, but faster and better...
would it be editing the recordings of my concerts, writing and publishing, etc...
