MP3 scan-bad frame found???

I'm ripping Mp3's from cd's and when I scan them for BPM and gain, a message says not scanned Bad Frame Found.
Can I change anything in CDex to prevent this.

never heard that one before..............have you tried scanning something you know is fine?

It rips fine and when I open PC DJ, it plays fine, but when I scan it for BPM and gain I get a dialogue box saying 'can not scan bad frame found'
I'm sure I can change something in CDex config but I don't know what.

try it with eac, that'll tell you if there's a problem with the cd, or will rip it properly.

for god's sake, shut up with the eac-promotion!

why not just test a totally different file, see if it's a glitch in the software? save LOTS of time (crappy eac.........)

i don't know why i bother... i suggested eac because it tells you if there's a problem with a file when it rips it, and because if anything will rip it properly, eac will.

you're always pimping ipods, so don't give me shit for pimping eac :)

eac is probably a good idea, but checking that it isn't just a glitch first it quicker and easier. :-P

a mate's just pointed out that if it's a bad frame, it's nothing to do with the ripping process... :)

in my blind rampage to get everyone ripping using eac i didn't even think. :)

if it's a bad frame, it's the encoder there's a problem with.
