When I first got my ATI All in Wonder 8500 I figured out how to change it from s-video (or whatever the default is) to composite video input. Somehow it switched back and for the life of me I can't remember how I did it. I've looked through all the display options and ATI control panel and I can't remember how to change it back.

yea on mine, i switched it from the built in antenna the the rca yellow thing from the ps2....lets remember
oh yea
what do you use to view your card thing
i had a little screen that would come up- all i did was go to 'options' or 'preferences' and then I changed the input to (___ )(whatever it is)

edit: on the little screen that i use to view everything..IE the television

I have a few of them, and they all use the MMC Console.
Hit F2, then the buttin to select is right on the bar.

Look for a symbol, maybe the Cable Connector shape, its there somewhere. Place your cursor over the buttons for a pop-up description.

Hey Krell, what do you suppose "fast write" is? Hey, would it be too much to ask for a screen shot?

For cards that support this, you want to leave it enabled, and it is normally configured in the BIOS.

This allows the AGP device to write to the bus without calling an interrupt. In fact, it's forced behaviour, unlike the 2x or 4x modes which are always agreed upon by the chipset and the video card. So if you enable this for the extremely slight performance boost, you'll get instability within any 3D accelerated application when using a video card that doesn't support Fast Writes.

"The Fast Write (FW) transaction is from the corelogic to the A.G.P. master acting as a PCI target. This type of access is required to pass data/control directly to the A.G.P. master instead of placing the data into main memory and then having the A.G.P. master read the data. For 1x transactions, the protocol simply follows the PCI bus specification. However, for higher speed transactions (2x or 4x), FW transactions will follow a combination of PCI and A.G.P. bus protocols for data movement which is defined in this section."

Launch your TV Tuner \ Capture app, and look for the TV\Cable\S-Video button.

YES, I figured it out, I don't know how I changed it before, but it's working with the MMC. Thanks yo.

Yea!

I can watch TV on two computers, I hit a kb combination to constantly switch between them. I study, research, mod, watch TV, movies, or MP3s all at once.

I love convergence.

How do I change the codec it uses to capture video. Actually I wouldn't mind capturing straight to MPEG2.

You need to go to Setup > Digital VCR. Chose your Quality, or select Custom. Be sure to observe the Record time and free disk space.

It is already equiped to record to MPEG, and for DivX etc, you must have the codecs installed.

I can record straight to DivX, Huffy, etc.

I got it, man Huff is amazing compared to other DV codecs. the Microsoft DV which is virtualdub's default capture codec is about 750MB a minute, Huffyuv is 300MB.

I tried Xvid and it came out pretty good, I really like Xvid, I've never seen an Xvid movie that didn't kick Divx's butt. Especially at high motion. That would be like 100MB a minute at its high bitrate (which is mroe than needed).

EDIT: Hey what DVD authoring software should I use? I have tried DVDit! PE and for how much that program costs, it is really not that well thought out. I know there are just tons out now though, Adobes got Encore DVD, and there's a Ulead DVD Studio I believe and probably tons of other ones.
