I downloaded some game and during the installation I get an error message about .cab file being currupt. Is this a bad download or some kind of copyright protection I can get around? I can view the file with WinAce.

Do not post what you downloaded.

The file may be corrupt.

First off, EDIT YOUR POST, we have a no warez policy here

Now, how are you running the game, is it an iso emulated by daemontools? is it on a cd? if it is on a cd, how did you burn it/what program did you burn it with

Also, what OS do you have

Most likely you got a bad download, redownload it or just by the fucking game

2 files, CD 1 and CD 2, I put ".iso" instead of exe on the name and burned the image w/ nero. After installation began I got the error message about the cab file, so I tried using a program to extract the iso whose name I guess I shouldn't mention, and tried running the install from my hard disk (I have enough coasters, thank you).
Thanks for the insight about this game, I've paid good money for games that turned out to be horrible, I'll still buy the good ones.

Honestly, I thought this game kicked ass on the PS2

I haven't heard of any copy protection that corrupts .cab files, sounds like you got a bad download

You can try messing with the copyright options, daemon tools is able to emulate safedisk I believe, but you're most likely wasting your time
