i got a question about visualizations and screensavers. what makes the two different from each other, if they both have patterns they go through, couldnt one be used for the other? i do know that visualizations require that music be played, but can't the visualization be used as a screensaver? and some screensavers can have patterns like visualizations do. also cant screensavers be used as visualizations?

i don't know if this made sense to anyone, basically what im saying is, what is the difference between the two.

Hmm, I don't see why you couldn't use the visualization for a screen saver, you just need something to keep the pixels moving

Honestly, modern monitors would take so long to burn, its not much of an issue anymore, unless you have a plasma screen

Check out the winamp visualizations area (plugins), there's some cool shit

Edit: Tripex kicks ass....but the guy was also kind enough to whip up an app that takes any Winamp plugin and makes it a windows screensaver...get it here http://www.simtel.net/pub/dl/58353.shtml
