Jnutella and Filerogue are near impossible to find available for download. Winmx is in English. I'm looking for something that supports Japanese text.

When I paste some Japanese characters into the search box they show up as question marks.

Earthstation 5, which is in final stages of beta test supports Japanese, meaning, the program's menus, dialogs etc can be set to be Japanese.
It also has Chinese, Spanish, French, German and a few other languages.
We need testers to verify how good the translation is also.

I'm looking for a Japanese bootleg of an American movie. It contains different footage. Over here it's called "They," but in Japan it's "Implant."

I think we should give him a WORKING app, don't you? ESV is not something I would give to anyone in it's current stages.. not worth the trouble.
Besides, he asked for an app the Japanese used, not an app that "supports Japanese"... two different things... so I really see no need for you to take yet another opportunity to plug your crapp.

it will be worth it.
although there r many good apps out there, winmx is always still in the running and really is the choice of the Japanese.
did u check out those links from zaphodiv?
u could go here as well........it's a winmx forum...link (http://www.winmxcommunity.com/).
just hop into the forums and ask away.
u may have better luck there. ;)

>and which is the best japanese langauge support software for windows?
On NT4 I have the Japanese and Chinese IME from microsoft installed.
It just offered to install them when I browsed Asian webpages in
mozilla. I like the MS-Song font that is included.
In win2k, you can add language support from control panel->regional
settings.
Don't know about other OS's.
Njstar and babelfish do a mediocre job of translating Japanese.
Not wonderfull but usable.
>wat does UDP really mean?
Learn to search and read. At least read the winmx faq.
>i cannot get a UDP port open in WinMX?
The easy way out it to keep the settings it autodetects when
you first install winmx. It won't be as good as if you configure
your equipment but it will work.
You have to work out what is blocking UDP and fix it. It is usually
either that you have some firewall software (built in XP firewall,
zonealarm etc) or you are behind a NAT router or a connection sharing
system.
>can anyone tell me how to input japanese characters into the winmx search box?
Cut-n-paste
>i cannot see jap chars in the program so i am dling blindly
With njstar the Japanese characters will become legeble when you select
the correct character system in the options in communicator.

I addressed multilanguage support last year, I dont understand how this is a hindrence.
It beats dealing with unicode, and easier than reconfiguring your system even if you do add multilanguage support.
Of course if you cant read or speak japanese its not easier than reading unicode to me, but to each his own.
I know what symbols I need for Utada Hikaru, and Onitsuka Chihiro, Aya, Zone, Glay, Morning Musume etc.
