Could you give more info ? Does it still work properly after running SpyBot? Are the searches limited ? Are the bitrates limited ? Is it as fast as the previous clean version by dr. damn ?

Crazyhorse i installed imesh light then ran spybot s&d and it came up with spyware so i deleted the spyware also ran ad-aware got rid of all the spyware..So i opened imesh-light and it worked fine no problems at all..So i rebooted just to make sure
ran spybot s&d and adaware for the second time and still no spyware found i opened up imesh light and it worked fine.So in other words spybot s&d and ad-aware got rid of all the spyware contained in i mesh-light and it still runs.The searching ability is still limited like usual..

The program works after running spybot and rebooting computer. Other than the GUI i dont see that much difference

I'm just using it for nostalgia's sake. Kazaa++ is better. I had that ipinsight spyware which might've come with this or some rogue website. It still works after cleaning out the garbage.

Can iMesh only download off of iMesh users? I notice a helluva lot less users counted in iMesh's status bar than in Kazaa's (about 4x less).

Unless they changed it....Imesh has its own network along with the FT network

imesh's user count doesnt include kazaa's... it uses 2 networks, kazaa's, and another proprietary network. you can download off all the different users, you just dont see a user count for it from kazaa, just imesh.

Hmm, I set the downloads folder to my kazaa downloads...and it didn't pick up the .dat files

The new look is nice...but who cares?

Its still got one bug that PISSES ME OFF, when its up, it blocks out my taskbar, and is allways on top, I can't find an option to make it like a normal program, thats the only reason I got rid of it before, and its still not fixed!

Its also SLOW, it takes 30 seconds to load the program, searches are fast though

Well, it uses less system resources than KL does, but without "search more," sig2dat, and (a feature that would be nice in Kazaa as well) multiple searches, I think I'll skip on iMesh for now.

I've had overall better search results and download times for rarer files on KL as well, just to be noted.

Its still sorta buggy (the cracked version), how they removed thigns doesn't look good, and there are extra buttons to deal with :O

Sh*t guys, I didn't know this new version was still infected. I d/l two iMesh version yesterday, the new one and the oldest one again and I ran ad-aware and yep it contained a lot of sh*t as well. Maybe they have to fix that one. I got a link from the creator of the site and developer to another site with this product, I'm going to get it from there after a while, not yet. Maybe that's a cleaner version.

And imesh-lite goes down quit a lot. We will have to be patient I guess. So go DrDamn, Go!!

Alright, now I'm confused! Who is "CleanMesh" & "Dr.iMesh"? Are they the same people or are they 2 entirely different people jumping on the "clean imesh" bandwagon? All I know is is that there can only be ONE Dr. Damn!

To get rid of imesh being on top just copy this line into notepad and change the extention to reg then execute it, this should fix your problem.

Here is a link to an imesh version called "Eyemesh" , it is 100% spy/adware free and is tweaked up a bit, it will search the kazaa network as well as imesh servers and will return up to 200 files per search, its fast to connect and fast to download.
i did a test on dailup and downloaded 64 mp3's overnight, averaging about 7-8kbps .

i know someone who downloaded 17 movies in one day.

If you find IPinsight on your pc then you best look in the C:\windows folder for "ipinsigt.dll" this little bugger is hard to get rid of ............if you have difficultys just move it to "norton quarentine" or rename it and put it in a folder [change the extention] then you can run the file that i will leave a link to and it will remove all the ipinsight reg entries..........i have noticed that adaware pro and spybot dont recognise this .dll

Remove Insight (http://home.iprimus.com.au/theaxe/files/fuckoffinsight.exe)

Run the file after removing the dll or it will rewrite the reg entries

No Problems the frogs must be right:tilted i forgot to mention that you can surf from inside it as well and there is a pack of extra's that go with it including Video Lan, dat viewer and sig2datand its been scanned on half a dozen pc's with adaware pro and spybot and came up 100% clean:shy

I dont have enough room to host the file but if you want it, I might be able to ftp it or icq or something that suits you, just install the pack after EyeMesh and it updates the "whats up page" to include links to the tools, if you have dreamweaver or front page you can add as many links to the page as you want, ive been using EyeMesh as my browser for a few days now and its working pretty good.
