Same here but I'm filtering them out.

As for they Cydoor issue there are at least four threads on this exact topic that has been popping up every once in while and really dosen't get anywhere.

IMO, the best way you can hurt Cydoor and other similar spyware companies is run spybot or adaware and keep them off your computer. As for ZP they take thier money for ad space but we end up telling ppl how to keep that crap off thier computers on ZP.

Who do you think is getting screwed here, lol?

i cant, for the life of me, figure out why they advertise here! Who is the target cydoor consumer? Let em pay the bill so we can tell everyone how much it sucks

Zeropaid suppoesedly the protectors and fighters of free file sharing ,Cydoor the back door people who have one track objectives to sell sell sell ,(dont know about you guys but i dont trust anyone who uses back doors),i m really starting question the link between these two,i smell a rat........the advertising i m refering to is situated at the top right hand side of some of these zeropaid pages .Thanks for the advice on the spyware but i already got that one covered and mel i like your style of thought but some things just dont fit together, in fact unless people keep posting messages like this one new comers to this site might even think that zeropaid endorses cydoor which is how it appears.

LMAO - I guess ZP needs the money. Bandwith does cause money, its just a question of what your willing to give for the get in return. Cydoor is nothing different than 90% of the other shit out there.

If you want to block cydoor and other spyware adz, then copy and paste this into C:\windows\hosts if you are using windows 98, or x:\WINNT\system32\drivers\ect\hosts if your using 2000/XP and open with notepad. Instead of those vibrating "Click here" thingys you will get an "action cancelled" sign because instead of making a call to those spyware companies, you will be redirected back to your local computer:

Please don't start with conspiracy theorys, this has been brought up too much

Its the same as the DRM discussion we had a while back, ZP needs money

Do you honestly think this site would have been up this long if the government was trying to trap people or something? This site has given the know how to so many file traders....

Also, its a BANNER AD, never seen one? If i posted a picture of myself, it would be about as dangerous as the cydoor ad, its only there for money dude

To get rid of CYDOOR, do the following:

1. Delete the following files (usually found in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\):

CD_CLINT.DLL
CD_GIF.DLL
CD_SWF.DLL
CD_LOAD.EXE

2. Delete the ADCACHE folder and its contents (usually found under C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\).

3. Remove Cydoor and Cydoor Services from the Windows Registry.

The following Cydoor keys were added in Windows 98 Registry and are shown for reference only - They should be the same or similar for XP and 2000:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cydoor\

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cydoor Services\

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run\Cydoor=CD_Load.exe

Who said anything about the goverment or is there something playing on your mind, its not just p2p users who visit this site its open to anyone,so lets say an advertising company decides that zeropaid is a good place to go to find out whats cooking in the file sharing world and then they take that information and use it to target their customer,i mean its so easily done, now cydoor the worst people for targetting unsuspecting users are actually advertising on this site and you let them in,surely your financial team could find other companies who would be more than willing to advertise here,im sorry but it just dont wash with me.

If cydoor wanted info from this site, they wouldn't bother to pay for a banner ad, they would simply sign up for a free account and read what they wanted

Yes, what I said was a generalization, one that I didn't word that great, I combined your posts and some others I have seen in the past

SIMPLE ANSWER FOR YOUR SIMPLE BRAIN:

Zeropaid needs money.

Cydoor pay money in exchange for showing advertising.

Zeropaid show Cydoor's advertising in exchange for money.

Zeropaid needs less money.

Nas your just pointing out the obvious theres no intellegence in your answer and makes me wonder why your so keen to back up cydoor(do you work for them or something?).See me i dont trust people who run around behind your back gathering information on you to sell on to other companies,i m sure microsoft and the record companies would be intrested in most of the subjects discussed on this site to help them prevent people from ripping them off and by promoting Cydoor here it actually looks like your endorsing what their doing, all im saying is that these two dont gel, in fact their opposites,im all for zeropaid as theres a hell of a lot of knowledge floating around but for Cydoor to be promoted here to me is undermining the whole theme.

The bills need to be paid, and the adds help out. This is a subject that is brought up time and time again. The funny thing is, those that complain dont ask how they can support the site. I dont get a any PMs asking how people can donate to keep the site up. We use a lot of bandwidth, and it is a privately owned site, and again we are here by the graces of Jorge, and Dubb.

Look, the decision is not mine, and I dont mind Cydoor at all. It has caused me no problems, like I said it is one of the reasons we are able to have this conversation.

Let it go Hunter, remember the hissy fits over DRM thing a while back? If someone wants to stay they'll stay, it as simple as that.

There has been enough arguements on this thread to point out ZP's position but you can't force a point of view. Everyone is entitled to thier own point of view on this subject and no one is forcing anyone contribute or partcipate here, if they don't feel comfortable to do so.

If you don't like it...leave. No one has handcuffed you to your PC and put a gun to your head forcing you to suffer through the ZP experience.

You haven't helped anyone in your 11 posts so go bitch somewhere else.

Don't confuse expressing an opinion with trolling.

You said what you think of this; that's an opinion and its fine.

Keep hammering same thing over and over in multiple posts with nothing new to say it becomes trolling.

Look you've got no place to bitch about this site when all you've done is come in and whined about things... you don't do dick to HELP this place grow. Your say has little impact on people who've contributed to this place.

So take your BS elsewhere...you wanna keep trolling and whining about stuff...go a head. See where it gets you.
