Just realized this bug after downloading the Final RC2 or whatever the newest client name is on the front page of Zeropaid is.
If you preview/play a video in KaZaA Lite while the download is still going for that video when the download is finally complete.. it still leaves the file as the download3894298.dat (example file) type of name and doesn't change it to the filename that its supposed to be.
Edit: Not sure if it does this with other types of files such as mp3's or anything just relized it with .mpg's and .avi's so far. :)

that bug has been occuring before.. right before a movie finishes i switch to another file to avoid this aggravance

Use avi preview instead of using the built-in player for k-lite to preview your dats. You shouldn't have any probs with it.

There's no point.. I'm not waisting time opening a whole 'nother program when I can just do play/preview for that file.
It's a bug and it needs to be fixed thats what updates of programs are for.. new things and new fixes. You don't just leave it unattained.

Yeah, i've noticed that bug too.. i hope they get that bug fixed soon, it's really annoying.

no, but you see, kazaa itself is no good at previewing incomplete files. often it won't preview mp3s/avis until it is nearly completed, so you click preview and nothing happens, and then 2 hours later, when the download is nearly finished, it begins to preview all of a sudden. avipreview works without probs. also try KaZaA Preview Extractor. you will achieve better results and won't have this bug you spoke about. just add both progz to the kl extensions dropdown menu to have easy access to them, that's all.
besides, I don't think the kazaa lite developers can fix this bug. it's deep inside the core of kazaa, introduced by the original developers of the official kazaa, it's actually their duty to fix this bug, so simply drop an email to sharman, if they fix it, the kazaa lite developers will simply take the fixed version as the basis for the next kazaa lite, that's all
