or better yet.... how about me standing on a cliff in Utah. The riding was cool, but the views were even better.

Its only 1,200 foot drop!

or even better, riding along a 1,200 foot cliff in Utah. This was about half way through a 20-mile ride, and only a 2-5 foot shoulder.

a few years ago... Ive wanted to go back and bring a bike ever since. its good country.... and I just got my new Trek so I might just get to wander out that way soon. There aint nothing like lokking up from the bottom of a slot canyon... and then realizing you've still got to get back out. well, unless its watching a 25 foot raft disappear in a rapid for few minutes and then realizingyour next. yeah. Im heading back soon.

I'm 15, but how big is the Bronx? like take a guess of how big you think it is... and what do you mean some parts of the Brox are expensive... so if you says "some parts" I'm guessing it's a big city??

yeah the bronx is big. its massive. and lots of parts are expensives, and some parts some people have no business going in there. *wink*. the point is your young, and you gotta realize if ya come here to ny, its fun to tour, but you must be aware that you should team up with a buddy or something. its huge. nyc and its 5 boros alone is huge. there is more then that, nyc the state is big. but the bronx is safe too, it depends on where u go, and what u do.. the way i see it anywhere u go is ok, just make sure u remain with a buddy. besides your a church going dude, i am sure you know what u need to do. they have pretty sites in the bronx, and the *darn yankeess are located there. in yankees stadium. there is a pletora of stuff to do here. all within a train ride, or bus ride. its fun too. depends on what you like to do!

Hey, is that MOAB?

I'm a biking nut, I've allways wanted to go out to Utah and bike in some of that, Wisconsin has nice bluffs and single track, but nothing compared to that area of states

This summer I'm going to CO with my local boy scout trip, should kick ass...

What kind of bike you got there jorge?

Awesome destination spot Jorge.........I mountain bike and street bike, but the majority of my mountain biking occurs in the summer.......

When street biking, I usually plan some routes. The last one I went on was a 26 mile round trip route to my dad's work and back. Because of the winding roads and steep terrain, it took around four hours. We stopped a couple places along the way for food and such as well. The scenery at that altitude is nothing less than mesmerizing. There's nothing like going upwards of 25 MPH with the wind in your face and feeling in full control. Going downhill that speed increases to upwards of 35 MPH.

IMHO, being one with nature is where you truly find who you are and in what direction you want to take your life on. One of the greatest and most influential poets of all-time, Henry David Theoreau, isolated himself for years at Walden Pond.........In lieu of his transcendentalist viewpoints, it still remains a magnificent spot for all.

The only thing that is negative about conventional street biking is the horrible drivers. Half the time they give no signal of my presence and I see them shaving, talking on the cell phone, stuffing their face with a hamburger, and driving with their knees......It really can scare the crap out of you, lol.......The only thing I can do is be a defensive biker, which I think I am. I always go with the flow of traffic and signal when necessary.

Other than biking, I would like to take on mountain climbing. I've always wanted to go for something big. Right now, my father and I are planning a trip to Mt. Whitney in the upcoming year. As many of you know, it is the tallest mountain in the continental U.S.........It should be quite a feat to say the least

The Bronx is FREAKING HUGE, Mainly because it is part of the greater New York city metropolitan area which consists of, the bronx (of course) ,Manhattan (to which the bronx is located north easterly to), Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and jersey City (you can include that because it is right next to New York City.

All of which adds up to a ciity population of over 8 Million in the city and over 21 million in metro; and an area of over 309 miČ (Square Miles)

HAVE FUN!
