Erroneous Downloads on New Album ? Maybe New Format- strange

Just tried to download several songs of new album ---- and each one of them returned only about 20% of one song --It did not matter what the name of the song displayed in the search was- the result was the same gibberish-- I did this via Kazaa lite and Grokester--- Only 20% of one song ( same song ) comes thru, despite the fact that all of the songs were displayed in the search.

This album just came out 2 days ago , but it showed up on the P2p about a week before---

Seems like something unusual is happening with newly made Cd's--- hope somebody wil check this out and let us know ----- Thanks Ralph

Ok, the first thing I want you to do, is REMOVE THE SONG AND ARTIST NAME FROM YOUR POST!!! Its against forum rules because it could get us in trouble, click the edit button, and remove the name from your post, if anybody really needs to know, PM them, just don't say it in public here

Now, can you only download about 20% of the file and it fails, or you download it, and it only plays 20%?

Sorry -- I did not know about the rule

You can download all the songs in the search but when listening back to the completed mp3 download , you get about 30 seconds and it then goes empty or no sound. Also , altho the search lists many song names , only one comes thru as noted above-- Could these things be pranks.

they are fake files released by a company working on behalf of the record industry.

fasttrack is rife with them.

Interesting--- are there any clues to get around this?

We certainly should remove the files immediately and tell who we got em from to do the same.

I think the best way to avoid downloading these types of files is to wait for a month or two after their release..:;)
