There is still a use for napigator. Last time I looked there were still OpenNap servers.

Opennaps are good as supplemental sources of dls in any program but I would not use a program that completely relies on opennap. The servers tend to unpredictable (bit slow on connecting) when connecting and maintaining connections during dls. Napigator was good program as long Napster's central server was running.

I can still use Napster with napigator. It works ok except for the fact that it can connect to only one server at a time. The Opennap developers need to make the opennap servers all connect to each other and create a network similar to edonkey. If all the servers were connected each server would act like and ultrasupernode having a few hundred or thousand connections. This way any broadband user could operate a small server without being overloaded with connection requests. It would also enable us to use Napster the actual program again because a user would only have to connect to one server to access everybody on opennap. If this were to happen we would have the glory days of Napster back!
