I had a friend who had a similar problem and it was his virus scanner which was causing the trouble. try disabling it and see if you can get kazaa to work.
also try disabling your firewall.

Is the modem your running off of a Winmodem? If so...new drivers may be in order.
Your system specs may not be up to par (drop us some of your system specs)...so loading kazaa...downloading/uploading may just about push whatever OS your using over the edge resulting in the Winmodem software/drivers dying (even for a second or less) and you lose the connection.
Norton (Anything) seems to enjoy screwing with P2P apps..so if you have anything made by Norton on your system..remove it.
Grab your system specs with this app..

I also have a slight problem with my BT connection which I was wondering if some of my fellow Brits could help me with.
I only have BT surftime (all I can get in my area) and I was wondering if there was a way to disable the auto-disconnect after two hours?
Its so frustrating!!!

no. none whatsoever, im afraid your stuck with it.
best you can do is to set your pc to auto reconnect on disconnection.

On windows XP go into network connections , right click on your connection, select properties, then under options check the box "redial if line dropped" , in the box set number of redial attempts to whatever you need.
If you aint on windows XP im not sure, although you get countless dial up manager programs which will reconnect for you.
try webattack.com you will find heaps.

I didnt think that P2P was allowed on BT Broadband, only on Openworld (or some other tariff like that). Perhaps they are detecting P2P and kicking you off?

thanks for that, I had never noticed that. Wish i could stop it disconnecting at all, you would have thought that there would be a way.

P2P is allowed on BT Broadband. They have a 1G download limit written into the contract, although this is not yet being enforced.

It wont keep you online dude, it just reconnects you if you get d/c. There is nothing you can do to stop your isp disconnecting you.
Yes tfos fan their are freeware programs which do this.
