Run > gpedit.msc > Admin Templates
You can remove anything you wish from the default start menu....without the aid of X-setup or tweak programs.
Enjoy!
Also, feel free to post all the tips an tricks you've discovered by playing with any windows based OS. :tilted

It only works in 2k/XP Pro.....

took me a minute to figure out the Start Menu settings are under the Admin Templates in User Configuration, not Computer Configuration.

If i am understanding what you want there is a way in the home edition of xp all you have to do is right click on the task bar and go to properties>then click on the tab saying "start menu" and then click on classic start menu hope it works for ya tell me if it does

thanks ccsdude, i will keep that advice in mind. call me a weirdo, but i like using windows xp's default start menu. i find it easier to access FUP (frequently used programs) quicker. i also use the default blue theme instead of classic theme. maybe microsoft has gotten to deep into my head into using there 'user' experience of windows.
anyway, keep those windows tips comin ccsdude.
