Was just wondering if there were any known FastTrack clients available for Linux?
If so, where?
If not, why not & when will they port it?
Thanks...

There are no fasttrack clients for Linux, although some have claimed to have been able to run Kazaa under wine.

You can get Kazaa to run with wine.
There is also a linux project that is loosely based on the FastTrack protocol, however, it does not connect to the FastTrack network.

Gift still works, there are several clients now.
Just as an example check out the kdeGift client

An updated version was uploaded today,

It does not connect to FastTrack anymore, but it does work.

If it doesn't connect to FastTrack anymore, then why bother discussing it? Either discuss it in the network it does connect to, or give it its own forum ... this just adds to the confusion.
So, the bottom line is, no, there are no native Linux clients, but WINE may let you run some of them.

That leads me to a good question? Why the hell ISN'T somebody building a Linux version? There are lots of developers out there, no doubt many of them know what Linux is, and with as open as Kazaa etc. has been forced open, what is holding this up?
