Hi, I have recently downloaded some really great quality albums that have yet to be released yet (not *cough* pre-releases of copy-right *cough* material ofcourse, lol). I think they are both ripped from vinyl LP's. The quality is very good, and cosidering all the bogus files on KaZaA its good to see them. They appear to both be released by a group calling themselves the .:ESC TEAM:. and I was wondering if you guys knew anything about them and there methods of getting the albums, or if they have a website or anything. PM me if you have info u dont wanna post.
They seeming really cool and interesting

There are various underground "teams" on the internet that release pre-released music to a limited public domain.

Good luck finding any additional information about the team through search engines. The best you can probably hope for is to read the ".nfo" file that is usually provided with the album release. It will ususally tell you something about released the album to the internet.

These teams stay in the shadows because they usually are being hunted & tracked by the Record Industries, FBI, and other anti-piracy organizations for their "contributions" to the world of internet piracy. :cross

Yeah, I thought the best i would get is a .nfo file or something similar, its a real pity you can't find out more about these people and there methods though. Does anyone else have ay info at all?

if they weren't so vain as to need to take credit for "their" releases (by having club names in nfo files, filenames etc.) they wouldn't have to worry about the RIAA/FBI etc

in fact the first thing i do is rename, remove comments, delete .nfo file etc to take the credit away from those jackasses

(on the odd occasion i get one of them, which is hardly ever, and if i do it's an older album someone got off newsgroups, not a pre-release)

it might not be the smartest thing to do, but that hardly means they don't deserve some credit or that they are jackasses, after all, you are probably pretty comfortable enjoying whatever it is that they have produced

so they ripped a cd/lp/cassette--big fucking deal!

i rip dozens of them to share every week, but why put MY name on them? it's not like i wrote the songs, or performed them, or did the album art

all these guys did was know somebody at a record label or radio station and spend an hour ripping--that hardly deserves any credit at all

this is true, but I've also known some instances where it was not that simple, just saying why hate on the people that bring this stuff to you is all, maybe their methods are lame, but who cares, it's not your neck on the line is it?

theirs wouldn't be either if they didn't put their names on something they had no legitimate claim on

lol, well good luck finding them and telling them that, I don't care enough personally, if they want to be cowboys then they have to be prepared for what comes from that and I'm sure that they are

Lol this is pretty humorous. I totally agree with notbob, it's lame.

These guys are cowboys on the same level that zero pain is leet with his warez buddies. In fact, he probably knows them personally.

I don't know ZP personally, but I wouldn't bunch him up w/ most leets. I'm no hacker, but I've come across a few and they were cool, mostly they just love to learn new things, ZP is malicious as all hell, and I don't doubt that there are more bad apples out there, there always is, but these music clans are just trying to provide another avenue for free music, I'm not totally disagreeing with you both, just giving you my POV

It was sarcasm, and you couldnt possibly think that I would really pare him off with leets. White hats . . black hats, it doesnt matter, zero pain with his 6 figure income doesnt come close.

And these guys .:ESC TEAM:. that are ripping, I am not tearing them down, I'm glad they share. I've ripped a bit and shared . . . I just never asked for recognition for it.

It just kinda reminds me of that skinny mono-tone comedian that says

" The other day, I got on to this escalator, and I took my hands off the rail . . . . yah . . . im dangerous . . . and I rented a movie . . and I didnt even rewind it . . . and I will do it again too, cuz im unstoppable"

So yah, I guess comparing .:ESC TEAM:. to zero pain was just too damn low, and to .:ESC TEAM:. , I apologize, what the hell was I thinking ?

it's all good as usual dude, I like hearing what others have to say about stuff, I didn't take you serious about ZP anyway, but yeah even if he was a leet, he lost all that once he came here and started what he started, that is just pathetic to waste such talents on messin' w/ individuals who want nothing but to share and form a community

Krell - You are making the last forum fouler sound intelligent.

I have no odours with which to foul your suit. But, I mean BUT, reducing arguments to meer sylabulls, is pushing the boundries of science.

Yeah, I saw that, and I laughed, 'cuz it seemed harmless enough, and it just didn't make any sense, but here it seems like he's trying to attack my intelligence and although I don't care to much to get into flame wars, I am always ready, so by his failure to reply I will assume that he meant no harm and just leave it at that, but Will, if you ever want to test me, I'm always here and I'm not going anywhere, having said that, it's already forgotten

BTW lol, I think you nailed it with the GG reference

Will Rae never gets in flame wars. Well, at least as long as I can remember.

His posts have seemed to have changed a little bit over the time he has been here. But, he drops in every once in a while and posts something about his doctor or a mental institution.

He still counts as one of the regulars I guess. ( and has good humor )

I totally agree, his posts are mostly humorous, but like I said, it seemed like he was trying to cross the line a bit, that's all. As far as I'm concerned his posts are more than welcome, but not when they come at the expense of others and especially not if they are unfounded
